Arrival by Boat

Sanderling House is quite novel because the way to arrive can be either by car or by boat.We keep two open slips for transients who are staying either in the Pine Tree Cottage or in Sanderling House. If you are trailing a boat or arriving by boat please contact us to give us advance warning.

To arrive by boat:

• Enter the Rappahannock River from the Chesapeake Bay and Deltaville is the first set of harbor markings on the south side of the river.
  
• Carefully follow the makers, keeping the red markers close to the starboard (right) side of the boat. Slowing to less than 5 knots entering the beginning of the creek, this is now a 'no wake' zone.
  
• At green marker 13, on the left, progress along the western leg, staying on the right side of the creek for approx 4 minutes.
  
• Please call us as you enter the creek 804 776 0970 and we will come down to the dock to meet you and guide you into the correct slip.

Our GPS Co-ordinates are - North 37 degrees and 33.51 minutes X West 76 degrees and 19.28 minutes.
