Activities in & Around Deltaville

Boating has always been the way of life here in Deltaville and so it continues today to be the major livelihood and lifestyle. There are many marinas majorly clustered on Broad Creek, but there are also several on Jackson Creek, Fishing Bay and further up the Piankatank River. There is a kayak store in town, where rentals are possible. A Sailing School in Nortons Marina and Fishing Bay Yacht Club where many Regattas for all sizes of sailing craft are held.

This is good biking country and good hiking country. There are stableswhere it is possible to ride horses. There are beaches which are public onto the Rappahannock River. Sand bars (if you have a boat) which have become little islands on the north side of the Rappahannock River at Mystic Point; beautiful swimming there in the summer months.

Being just an hour from Williamsburg, Jamestown, Newport News and Richmond makes for an easy commute for a day, if you are feeling homesick for some mega shopping. We do however have delightful boutique stores in town that would probably satisfy most needs.

Restaurants. We have four in Deltaville itself and others in the very nearby surrounds. There are certainly many to choose from and therefore something to suit every taste.
